The Jericho Principles

     1. There are no impossible, immoveable, or undefeatable barriers that can stand in the way of God’s promises.
2.    God doesn’t need our conventional weapons to make the walls come down.
3.    Our weapons are divinely powered for bringing down strongholds.  We hope, we praise, and we obey.   God then brings down the walls.
4.    Walls do two things.  They keep you out or keep you in.  Rahab was entombed in Jericho till God brought the walls down.  Israel was kept out from their promised land till Jericho fell.
5.    Jericho was the Hollywood of its day, promising wealth and prosperity while delivering mostly poverty and a promiscuity that was ruining.
6.    The culture has to be abandoned if we are to truly experience God today just as Rahab did.
7.    Rahab was resurrected from the tomb of her old life.
8.    Walking around for 7 days was a test of Israel’s praise, hope, and obedience to God.
a.    Nothing is written about this generation complaining, grumbling, and testing God.
b.    The Levites’ trumpeting was about announcing God.   Trumpets always introduce the God of creation!
9.    7 trumpets, 7 Priests, 7 days, 7 times on the last day.  The God who created in 7 days is known in the ruins of Jericho.
10.   Joshua demonstrates that leading for God is following God.   Be a follower to lead followers.
11.   We march against those barriers that prevent God’s promises by praying in silence or with a calm assurance.  We live calmly assured of God’s promises and march.
12.   Rahab’s story illustrates that no one no matter how cursed is beyond God’s reach, to restore, and transform.   She goes from prostitute to a mother of King David. She goes from condemned as a Canaanite to a chosen woman redeemed.  She goes from a stake in Jericho to a house in heaven.

God is my Action Hero.

God is my Action Hero!

God is like John Mclain NY Police officer, He just won’t die… from die Hard… Satan Killed him, but He rose again.

God is like The terminator protector in Terminator 2, Godinator when Satan is after us, He is a tireless defender who never rests, never grow weary, who never fails, falters, or is capable of

God is like Dirty Harry SF police department and when he faces down the pharoah’s, the goliaths, the giants, and people who rise againt us he stands and says, No I know you were wondering did I fire 5 or 6, well to be honest in all the fray I lost count myself, so I am asking you punk do you feel lucky.

God is like Chuck Norris coming to rescue us from the prison the captors have us in and though he is alone we all know he is completely capable for impossible mission

God is like Stalone, John Rambo, and He will not be pushed around by anyone who comes against, and to the Devil he says you drew first blood…

God is like Neo, Keanu Reeves from the Matrix though the world is ruled by a prince and power, and principalities, captured, and killed by agents of the world He rises again and defeats the powers that control the world and frees those who captive to it. He is “The One” Capable of bending time, space, and not control by that which controls the world He uses even the evil of the world for his purposes.

God is like Russel Crow in Gladiator, His wife, the church has been attacked, wounded, hurts, and he has entered into the arena to win their freedom and His. He faces down the evil, defeats it, and is goes to the kingdom a victor. When asked his name Crows, States, My name is Maximus Arelius, Commander of the armies of the north, husband to killed wife and children, and I will win my freedom and get my revenge. So God has sent Christ into the arena of the world and when asked who he was he was beaten, spit, upon, but he didn’t deny it. He said, I am Son of God, Commander of the Armies of Heaven, Husband the church , who is my wife whom you have attacked, and I will get my freedom and revenge.

God is like Indiana Jones because he is always looking for the ultimate treasure. He is in pursuit of the hearts, minds, and souls of those who need His salvation. He is relentless, he too hates snakes, he will not be stopped, he can’t be stopped!

God is like Ethan Hunt, Tom Cruz, he is on a mission. He looks impossible to us, but we all know that he will not be stopped. He will not relent from his purpose, his task. He is determined because Nothing is impossible for God. He majors in impossible missions so if you need a giant knocked down, a sea parted, a boat built, some walls to fall down, an army defeated, a baby birthed with God all things are possible.

God is the “Force” from Star Wars… He is in all things, and all people. He is everywhere present. He is power. He is good! He works all things for good to those who are called to His name. Use the Force. He gives us weapons which are not of this world, and not of our flesh. The Force fills those who surrender their lives to understanding how to channel the power in their lives. It fills them and controls them… and the force greatest enemy is fear. With the force fear is cast out.

The Gideon Principles

The Gideon principles

1. When things go badly that does not mean that God has cast you off.
Things went badly for Jesus and it was a part of God’s plan.Things went badly for Abraham and it was a part of God’s plan. Things will go badly for you, but God has a plan for you.

2. Before you make a commitment clarify
If the will of God is not clear, then 1) live inside God's plan 2) apply the doctrine that you know and 3) use the principles of divine guidance.

Some steps in the process for clarifying God's will.
A. Let God have Control
B. Pray about it.
C. Seek others wiser than you in your field for wisdom
D. Remind yourself of God’s promises
Total Recall: 4 vital truths for bad times·
GOD is still the God of wonders, and a way maker. ·
GOD + you = A MAJORITY!·
God’s presence means you have nothing to fear·
Meeting with God is vital to changing everything.

E. Consult your teammates
F. Fast
G. Fleece
H. Make a decision

3. Check out what God is doing in the other person’s camp

4. Be confident in the army God gives you!

5. The Conquest is God’s!
Your arsenal is of no concern
Your army’s size is of no concern
Your military arrangement is of no concern
Your availability & not your ability is God’s only concern!

What to do.
Be still and watch God fight for you! Write down everything that God does for you in the several weeks to remind yourself of God’s work in your life. Keep that log and share it each and every day

CROAK

Cry out
Rescue Me
Oh Lord from...
All those deceptive people and things that ...
Keep me far off from you.

Croaking is what Ravens do to call their family's to assist them, to help them, to be near them, to help feel secure. When a Raven is croaking he is taking his troubles to those who can help. A raven's croak can be heard by his pack and family from over a mile away!

So The Lord hears us when we are afar off, surrounded by deceptive people, and distracting circumstances. He comes to our rescue because we cry out!
