Some of us including myself struggle with letting go of past failures, wounds, and hurts. We hold on like Naomi to our anger and it makes us bitter. Naomi said, "Do not call me Naomi, call me Mara for I went out full (of kids and family) and The Lord brought me back empty." If you have struggled to give forgiveness, or found yourself angry with God and at everyone and everything this Sunday we are going to be talking about 10 TRUTHS FOR LIVING IN FREEDOM! A truth is something that carries a practice with it that if you do it will bring about greater freedom!

2. LOVING EACH OTHER REQUIRES THE OFFENSE BE DEALT WITH ... UNITY binds Satan & UNLEASHES the churches influence
3. WHAT IS BOUND ON EARTH IS BOUND IN HEAVEN... letting an offense go undealt with binds God's power and unleashes the enemy!
4. UN-FORGIVENESS IS THE PRISON OF BITTERNESS & ANGER
5. COMPLAINING & GRUMBLING BRINGS GOD'S JUDGMENT ON THE CHURCH BODY... CHOOSE JOY
6. PRAYER TOGETHER IS THE POWER TO HEAL, RESTORE, GET GOD TO RISE UP, & TO FORGIVE IS TO UNLEASH THE GOSPEL
7. CONFESSION OF WOUNDS, OF SIN, OR HURTS AND BAD FEELINGS TO EACH OTHER HEALS AND COVERS ... I.E. BINDING THE MATTER.
8. LIES AND GOSSIP, UN-DEALT WITH HURT PAST OR PRESENT GIVE THE DEVIL A FOOTHOLD... CHOOSE TO BUILD UP WITH YOUR WORDS AND TO BIND THE ENEMY
9. BEGIN ASSUMING THE BEST AND SPEAK ONLY WORDS THAT ENCOURAGE EACH OTHER TOWARD GROWTH
10. MAKE A COMMITMENT TO PUT AWAY... TO LAY ASIDE EVERYTHING THAT GRIEVES THE HOLY SPIRIT AND GIVES THE DEVIL AND OPPORTUNITY!

Now one final word. You who are spiritual restore, the leaders of Cornerstone play a huge roll in restoring the health of the church. If you are struggling to deal with the past you need to take what is past and place it at the foot of the cross of Jesus. That bag of wounds has to be replaced with joy, with trust, & with love for each other.
